Linda Purdy
Mezzo Soprano Soloist, Vocal Instruction and Performance, Member: National Association of Teachers of Singing

"It has been an honor and a privilege to perform with Dr. Sal Ferrantelli for over 30 years. I've enjoyed a marvelous musical relationship as alto soloist with Sal and the I Cantori di Carmel since its inception.
“As I look back over my singing years of concertizing, touring and teaching, I can honestly say that performing with Sal Ferrantelli has been an inspirational highlight! Sal is a lovely man overflowing with high energy and humor! Sal is a passionate and talented musician, conductor, composer and educator who creates magical moments when conducting his chorus, orchestra and soloists in concert. His brilliant original compositions of sacred gems and lush romantic melodies, as well as his ingenious jazz and pop arrangements, continue to inspire his listeners with a sense of peace, beauty and, if you will, "Razz m' Tazz."
After the first few years performing together as conductor and soloist, Sal and I developed an unspoken musical connection. There was an instant rapport between us. This camaraderie and admiration for one another's talent and musical intelligence continued blossoming in every concert over the years.
I especially cherish the early years as there was a mutual musical connection through Monterey Peninsula College. My late husband, pianist and educator William Purdy, and my friend and mentor Dr. Harvey Marshall, were both friends and colleagues of Sal Ferrantelli. We collaborated on numerous occasions performing with the Monterey Bay Symphony Orchestra in concert at the Sunset Center in Carmel, the Hartnell College in Salinas and the Monterey Peninsula College.
Thank you dear friend for all the joy, all the music, all the magic!"
